The short description for products isn’t showing up anywhere. Not all of the products have one yet, but some do (Basil, for instance, which is the URL I’m putting in with this support ticket).

I turned off all plugins and removed all CSS and that didn’t fix it. The only thing that has them show up is activating the default WP theme, so it’s a theme issue. I’ve scoured the theme options and can’t seem to find anything that would cause it to not show up.

In the source code of the page, it looks like the summary text itself is getting incorporated into some type of link code, but I have no idea where it’s coming from. I updated to the latest version of Dante and it’s still doing it.

    Thanks,

    Kait

Here’s the sourcecode snippet: <li class=”mail”><a href=”mailto:?subject=Basil Essential Oil&body=The widely-enjoyed basil plant (Ocimum basilicum) is part of the mint family and is known for its simultaneously cooling and pungent flavor. Native to India, records show that the basil plant has been cultivated on the subcontinent for over 5000 years. Nonetheless, the basil came west early on. Numerous Greek and Roman authors, such as Theophrastus and Discorides, speak of its potencies. There are over a 160 named cultivars of the basil plant. This rainbow of subtle flavor variations includes the sweet “sweet basil,” the pungeant “Thai basil,” and the mentholated “African Blue basil,” as well as scores of others.
Basil is referred to as the “king of herbs” in a number of different traditions. In fact, the word “basil” is derived from the Greek basileus, which means “emperor.” The French sometimes call basil “l’herbe royale” (“royal herb”),while in Welsh it is called “brenhinllys,” which also testifies to its kingly status. Byzantine legend associates basil with the Feast of the Cross. Nonetheless, it is not myth alone which preserved basil’s status as king of the herbs for so many centuries. More likely, rather, is that the basil plant unites within itself a number of the active chemical components of a number of herbs. Basil contains elements of the uplifting essence of the lemon rind, the cooling power of camphor, the warm heat of cloves, a hint of liquorice scent of anise, as well as its own unique properties.

Yes, that’s where the summary should go. The summaries on the other products still aren’t showing up though, only Basil. What did you do to get it to show up?

You have put your description in the wrong box, you need to go to the product meta tab and put it in ‘product short description’ (see screenshot)

That’s very weird, why wouldn’t it just use the default WooCommerce short description box?

That’s the Short Description that comes with WooCommerce, but as we made the page builder compatible with product pages, we had to overwrite the current short description and provide our own description areas, as they are shown in different places depending on wether the page builder is enabled or not.

I know it’s complicated, will see if there’s a way we can hide the WooCommerce description area as it is not used.

No problem, the easiest way to understand it is put the title of the text area in each section and then view the product page and you can see where each section outputs
