Hey There,
I am trying to set up a “you might like this” part on every single product page.
And I would love to have 4 random products (changing after refreshing the page)BUT Except the actual product.
So is it possible to have a asset type which says (all other products) or something?!Is there a solution for this?
thanks in advance
cheers

thanks for the response.
I have already set up the cross and uupsells. Which are just showing you items within the shoppingbag/cart page.
But I want to feature random products within the content (build with the swift page builder) on a single product page.
So I placed a “Shop Products” Element and on this one I would love to have an asset type like “all other products” Or just “All products”Is something like that possible?
cheers and thanks in advance.

August 3, 2015 at 12:34 pm #200158which one do you mean?
Please see attached screenshot. And as said, I want to feature 4, out of all my products, randomly choosen on a single product page.
“Selected Products” doesn’t work for me, because I need to adjust by hand every single product feature element as soon as I add a new product to my shop. And as soon as one is out of stock or one product new in stock i need to change an double check on every other product. And i Need to double check with the Product ID because this “Shop Products” Element does work with the Product IDs instead of the Product name, which is much more complicated to handle. (see 2nd screenshot)
Thanks in advance.

August 3, 2015 at 12:44 pm #200166Ok,
thanks for the quick response.
My solution for now:
I have selected the “latest products” asset and have limited it to 4 columns and 4 items.
So i have always 4 random picked, different products in a row.
BUT this means that also the actual product could be featured even if you are on that single product page. And I have also no idea if this solution breaks at one point. Is there a rule how long the system will give the products the “latest product” status?!
thanks.

August 3, 2015 at 2:02 pm #200191So is there a fixed period.
For example: after 60 days a product won’t appear anymore if “latest products” settings is selected.August 3, 2015 at 2:04 pm #200193No that’s not how it works, it will just show the latest 4 products, it does not matter when they were published

August 3, 2015 at 2:17 pm #200201Thats strange.
Please take a look at the screenshot.
And as soon as I refresh 4 random Products are shown. and not the latest 4 created..Attachments:

That is because you have “Order by” set to “Random”.
To show the latest, you would want “Order by” set to “Date”.
Thanks.
August 3, 2015 at 2:39 pm #200216Yes because that is what I have requested in my first post.
That is exactly what I wantJust one product should be excluded.
for example:
– I have 25 products
– we are currently looking at product no 22
– at the bottom the the content of product 22 I want to display 4 random products (changing on refresh)
– these 4 products should be 4 random picked products (out of 01 to 25 excluding 22)August 4, 2015 at 10:27 am #200538Ahh sorry I did not realise you could select random products.
For excluding the 1 product unfortunately it’s not possible

August 4, 2015 at 11:48 am #200587Hey Kyle,
cheers for the update.
Would be great if you could set it up like this in the future.
It would help a lot if you could choose the porducts you wan to feature in this way.
So you have no trouble if some products get out of stock or some new products were added to your shop…thanks again for the help.
