    Hi,

May I ask several different questions?

    1. I have made few changes to the .css and page.php regarding the width and font size. If I update the wordpress, theme or any other plug-ins, will those changes be affected?

    2. Though I like the full width style, I changed to box style as I think that might fit more screen sizes. However I found the body size (for the body of the webpage = sidebar + content together) in box style is still wide and I would like to narrow it a little bit more. After browsing the forum, I found this topic (http://www.swiftideas.com/forums/topic/narrower-box-width/). I am wondering is the width still cannot be changed?

If it can be changed, will it affect on the responsive settings?

And if it cannot be changed, is there anything I can do to make the sidebar and content located more central so that leaving more blank for left and right sides? (Currently the sidebar is span3 and content is span8. I tried to change content to span9 but found it not only widened, but also went a little bit toward left side. So the blank area on the right-hand side is more than that on the left. But after I changed it back to span8, the blank between sidebar and content turns to be too much….)

    3. I found that if I open the website from a square screen, the top-bar-menu will not display well horizontally, however display vertically. (Haven’t test other screen size yet.)

    4. I am currently put the website under domain name like: wwww.xxxxx.com/wordpress and I tend to move it under the main domain address once I completed it. The server environment is C Panel. I am wondering if I move the location, will all my settings like <href…> be affected? (This might be a stupid question as I do not have sufficient knowledge of those servers, locations etc.)

    Thank you very much.

    Regards,
    Han

    Hi,

    1) You should add your custom css to the option available in the Theme Options-> General options -> Custom css

    2) That was designed to fit more screen sizes if is more reduced it will look very awkward in higher screen resolutions. The screen resolutions are getting bigger each day.

3)Can you send a screenshot with the issue? Also we need admin access to be able to see the site.

    4) Use a plugin like duplicator

    Duplicator – WordPress Migration Plugin

Only in the situations that you used a specific full url, that you will have to adjust.

That error seems a problem in your server, maybe your htaccess rules.
