Hi guys,

Is there a way of setting the image that displays in the recent posts sidebar widget to not be the featured image on the post? Can we take the thumbnail (that’s displayed in the excerpt on a blog page), to be the recent posts image?

This is because i find having a featured image on a post annoying as it limits the control and it keeps appearing as my fancy heading background too.

Hi

I’m afraid not sorry, if you set a featured image, you can overwrite any other instances of it in the post meta, for e.g. the detail media, the thumbnail and fancy heading etc
