Hi
I set up a mega menu ok with 3 cols by indenting the menu items into 3 as per docs ok
However then I saw that you could just add the ‘sf-mega-menu-3col’ css class to the CSS Classes box. However if I try to set a 4 col like this it does not work. Also if all sub items are just under one parent then I lose the mega menu.
So what is the point of this class? How is it supposed to work ? or is it for something else?
Does this mean you HAVE to setup the menu items into the number of cols you want initally? Thanks
July 7, 2014 at 4:27 pm #88711Hi, can you please post up your website URL having sf-mega-menu-4col activated so we can check it out?

The CSS classes work, maybe it’s your structure of your menu. Let me try and explain:
Top level menu item = Menu item in the navigation bar
Second Level = Column Headings
Third level = menu items in each column– Kyle

July 8, 2014 at 12:22 pm #88976Hi
Ah I see so that would then enable the css classes?
I will give it a go
July 8, 2014 at 12:26 pm #88978You need to make sure it is turned off, meaning you’re not disabling the mega menu

July 8, 2014 at 12:27 pm #88979Hi Kyle
With that option turned off then as expected I no longer have ANY mega menu and the top menu gives me 3 sub-items (as per the structure) which then give the rest of the sub-items.
This is understandable but NOT what I was after
I wanted to use just the class WITHOUT having to structure the menu – otherwise what is the point of the class as it wont convert the structure of say 3 colsd to 4 or 5 with just a simple class chnage?

July 8, 2014 at 12:31 pm #88982The CSS is only for the style of the menu (width of columns etc), it’s not going to restructure your menu for you, you would have to do that yourself

To confirm, are you trying to get a certain number of columns but are not able to?

July 8, 2014 at 4:08 pm #89114Hi
I want 3 cols – I have 3 cols through structure ALONE
Adding the sf-mega-menu-5col css does nothing different…
My question is why not?
Keith
July 8, 2014 at 4:20 pm #89119See the difference in my screenshots, I have 5 columns set up in my structure, when I use sf-mega-menu-3col you will see that it displays 3 col and the remaining 2 col drop below. When I use sf-mega-menu-5col it shows correctly
