setting a standard image height in gallery.

I wish to upload a large quantity of photos to a number of galleries, this is no problem but the photos come from a variety of different sources and are in both portrait and landscape and different sizes. The gallery is set so I can click left and right to the next photo however because the photos have become cropped and not always consistently this causes the screen to jerk up and down depending on the size of the photo. Is there any way to assign a standard height to all photos so that they will resize themselves or do I need to do this manually? Thanks.

Hi there,

Might be best if you used a plugin to resize the images to save you the time of manually doing so? Something like this maybe: https://wordpress.org/plugins/bulk-resize-media/
