Server Wait time

Hi,

neighborhood-theme has some really long server wait-time (up to 4 seconds) on my site. One of the problems seem to be the database-queries which result in over 230 (!) for the front page alone.

Did you have any problems like this in the past? any solution?

(from a plugin perspective the runtime by plugin is determined 50% by woocommerce, 25% by revolution-slider, and the rest by other plugins). Just to clarify this is not client related but a server side problem.

I use the plugin „Debug-Queries“ for displaying SQL-queries and the plugin P3 for measuring the resources my plugins need.

I would really appreciate an answer since most of the 200+ Database-queries on every page load come from the Swift-framework.

Hey there, as you know we work from oldest reply (!) from latest reply when we work, so if you keep bumping your threads before we get back to you you will swoooosh right back to the end of our to do list and that means you’ll make yourself angry 🙁

So patience will pay off in the end 🙂

The revolution slider is indeed a heavy plugin which can result in loading speed reduced. The theme itself however should not cause that at all.

I don’t see how the answer solves the problem?

A usual wordpress website has about 20-50 sql queries on a site, not 250+. Most of the queries come from the theme itself. The server wait-time is high no matter if the revolution-slider is on the specific page or not, so in conclusion the revolution-slider is not the problem.

This is a real problem to me that I experience with both themes, Neighborhood as well as Flexform. I have some caching-plugin installed now which makes the situation a little better but it would still be great if this could be improved. Anyway thanks for your great support.

Thousands of websites run really fast with the theme on it, we rarely have complaints, of which most can be solved by reducing image sizes, i’ve never had an sql query complaint ever tho :/
