    Hello!

I just bought the theme and I’m very happy with it; used your template to build a ‘coming soon’ page. However, with maintenance mode enabled WHILE being an admin, I keep getting referred to the coming soon page when editing the website (for both previewing and viewing pages after publishing).

I’m not the most experienced user, so this might be an easy solve. Still, I would really like to start building our actual website now. Thanks!!

    Hi

Are you sure you have full admin access? Can you try create a new user set to admin to see if that works

    Hi Kyle,

Well, the role in WordPress is set to ‘Administrator’, but not sure if that’s the only setting of importance here.

Tried creating a new admin account and nothing changed when I used it, still keep getting referred to the maintenance page.

Ok please check there is no .maintenance.php file in your root folder

Checked, don’t believe there is. But again, it’s probably a simple solution as I barely made any changes to the website as a whole. Perhaps I’m just overlooking something…

    Hi Mohammad,

I’m not sure if I understand what you’re saying, but in any case, what can I do to fix it?

Who set up the admin account / WordPress install? I can’t see anything wrong, other than potential bad permissions for the user.

    Hi Ed,

Well, I set up the admin account myself, did so through WordPress install indeed.

Can I change the permissions when I set the ‘role’ per user? Because that’s all set to ‘admin’… Or is it somewhere else I need to go to do that?

    Hi,

Can you create a new admin user and try with that new user?

    Hi Rui,

Tried that a few times, but still no luck. No idea what I’m doing wrong…

    Hi,

Can you provide ftp access just to have a look at your files?
Sometimes and htaccess in the wrong directory can cause problems.
