Is it possible to remove the search icon in the top menu bar?

Yes, you should be able to find the option in the Flexform Options>Header menu. Just uncheck the Search box.

Which version of the theme are you on? I’m on 1.1 and the option is right above the Mini Header option:

Main Nav Top spacingAdd spacing here if you need extra spacing above the main navigation (i.e. if you have a large logo). Numerical value (no px).

Enable Nav SearchEnable the search box next to the navigation.

Mini headerEnable the mini header when scrolling down the page.

In responsive telephone mode, when disabled, it still accounts for the space – leaving it with too much padding/margin below the main menu. How to remove?

Do you want it removed only in responsive mode or all the time?

Definately in responsive mode, but it only removes it and leaves the space it was in, leaving the height of the header exactly the same instead of smaller.

It looks like I need to update the WP theme to 1.1.  the warning says ” Any customizations you have made to theme files will be lost. Please consider using child themes for modifications.” Does this mean my website will be erased if I update the theme?

    Hi,

When updating, only changes that you made in theme files will be overwritten (i.e. you opened a .php file and manually edited it).

Theme options, content, custom CSS in the theme options – all these will stay.

    Regards,
