    Hey there,

my RSS feed only shows custom excerpts for posts even if I set the feed to show full posts.

I am not using the page builder for blog posts.

How do I enable full posts inside the RSS feed again?

    Regards & thanks,
    Jens

    Hi Jens,

Can you post a link to your feed and supply a WP login credential?

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi,

This looks to be resolved for me, I can see the content is being pulled into the feed.

    – Are you using feedburner or another service to view the feed?

    Thanks

    No, it isn’t revolved!

As you can see the latest blog post post has no content set inside the feed. It’s just empty.

This happens for new posts as well.

When I switch to a standard theme and create a post, the full content is available inside the feed.

Ok, could you provide me with a little background information:

    1) Have the previous posts published with another theme active?
    2) Is the latest post, the only post published with the Joyn theme active?
    3) For me all, but the latest post get the correct data – can you confirm it’s only isolated to that one latest post as I see it?

    Cheers,
    David.

    1) Yes
    2) Yes
    3) Yes, it’s the only Post created using JOYN. New posts dont show the content as well. You can use the provided account to create a new post if you have to.

    Cheers,
    Jens

    Hi Jens,

Thanks, I cannot replicate this issue on my dev version so I will need to trace this on your install.

Can we or yourself temporarily disable all plugins apart from the Swift Framework on your site?

    Thanks.

That would be possible, but only for a very short timeframe.

I don’t really see the benefit in this, because switching the theme fixes the problem with all plugins still enabled.

So the chance that the problem resides inside JOYN is very high.

    Cheers,
    Jens

I disabled all plugins and made a test post. After that I lost some plugin configurations and the Jetpack connection to WordPress. So, no, you can’t disable all plugins again!

Anyway: The result was the same:
    – Disabled all plugins
    – Made a test post
    => Content was still empty

    Hi Jens,

Thanks for reporting your findings, I will need to get our lead developer to check over this and give you and update.

    Thanks,
    David.

Just found the issue here, it was to do with our RSS output handling when the Page Builder is in use. Here is the fixed theme build: http://d.pr/f/1gn7g/441toWqf
