Role of featured image

Hi Swiftideas,

Just wanted to clarify the role of the featured image in Atelier … in posts I can:

-> specify a featured image
-> specify a thumbnail image

What is the difference between the first two? Are they used for different purposes?

In addition I can
-> specify detail media

The latter gets inserted in the post. Is it also used elsewhere? Is it in any way related to the Gallery and Portfolio sections in the theme?

Hi

The featured image will be used for both the thumbnail and the image in the post, however we have provided a separate option for each just in case you wanted to use a separate image for either the thumbnail or detail media

In the test that I made in the page below, it uses the image with the best quality(that’s part of their algorithm if not provided a specific one).

You can specify the image to share using Yoast plugin.
