Is there a risk of regression by updating dante version 1.51 to version 2.0?

Hey, what do you mean by regression?
The latest version always fixes some bugs and oftentimes adds new features to the theme, you will never lose any content but you will lose changes made to the theme files, unless performed in a child theme.
