    I read elsewhere on this forum about the problem with Revolution Slider truncating shortcode buttons, the following fix seems to sort it out, but I’m getting the problem elsewhere and I’m wondering if there’s a more permanent fix rather than targeting everything individually.

    a.sf-button {max-width:100% !important;}

    I’m getting the same problem with an email sign up form (Mailchimp shortcode placed in RevSlider), which is set to 70% in my style.css. RevSlider seems to change % into px, resulting in a form that’s 70px wide. This is the same as with the button code – 100% wide button displays as 100px.

    Also revslider doesn’t seem to recognise max width for a layer within ‘Align, Position & Styling’, whatever I set gets ignored both in the editor and in the output, which makes it kinda hard to layout the slider. I can restrict text blocks using the inbuilt style editor, but again, I can’t see this in the editor window. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my install?

    I just wondering if it might be an compatibility issue with Dante & RevSlider? You’ve dealt with the issue before, so seeing another example of it probably isn’t going to help – besides, as I said above, I’ve fixed the issues by targeting them specifically with CSS.

    I’m really only asking 2 things:

    1) Is there a compatibility issue with Dante & RevSlider, causing it to convert % into px?
    2) Is it normal for RevSlider to ignore the max width if set within the edit window, or is there a problem with my install?

    Thanks

    Hi

    It is not a compatibility issue with the theme and the revslider, you will see that rev slider will do this with any theme. Not sure why they do that

    That’s wierd, so the only way around it is to target elements individually vis css. OK, thanks for confirming.

    Cheers.
