Revolution Slider – can't find settings xml file

Hi, I’m getting started with Dante, everything has been smooth so far other than the Revo slider, when I install it I get the following error/s:

Warning: simplexml_load_file(): I/O warning : failed to load external entity “/path/to/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/settings//slider_settings.xml” in /path/to/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/inc_php/framework/settings.class.php on line 673

Settings (slider_settings) Error: Wrong xml file format: /path/to/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/revslider/settings//slider_settings.xml

I’ve double checked that the file does exist. Any ideas what would be causing the issue?

I cant activate as I dont know where the Purchase code is?

When I click new slide, I get this error along with the above error…

View (slider) Error: Settings slider_params not found
