revolution slider arrows

I believe the Flexform theme is changing the navigation arrows in the Revolution Slider. I uploaded custom arrows to the revolution sliders correct assets folder. and they show up when i preview them on the plugins tab (see screen capture 1) but when I view my page, the arrows are completely different (see screen capture 2).

Also notice how the dots representative of the slides are different. Also notice the alignment of the arrows is different (bottom vs middle).

There must be some styling changes in the Flexform files, but I cannot find it.

Great slider, Greater theme… I just want my square nav arrows!
