    Hi,

i’ve stumbled across a problem with the Revolution Slider (set to full width). Its navigation buttons look fine when viewed with a ‘normal’ display, but look misaligned and different with a ‘retina’ display (see iOS screenshot). I’ve found out that the former are linked to the rs-plugin assets, while the latter are linked to the parent theme folder (/themes/atelier/images/[email protected]). Any idea how to solve this?

Thanks for the otherwise really nice theme and framework!

    Chris.

    Hi,

I tested in MBP retina and it’s looking fine.

Can you try to clear the cache?
    What browser you used?

Thanks Rui, but I tried that. I can move the browser window (Safari or Chrome) with the slider between my MBP retina screen and an external monitor and the nav arrows change on the fly from good to bad…

And just to be sure, after cleaning caches, I had them completely deactivated via the developer menu in Safari. And theres no cache running on the site, afaik.

Something strange because I’m seeing it fine in the MBP display and in the external monitor that is mirroring the MBP.

Can you try in Incognito mode on chrome?

Btw, what is the expected behaviour for the Atelier theme regarding revolution slider: to override the rs-arrows completely, selectively or not at all (but they seem to be there for a reason)?

My colleague David manage to replicate this issue. We will assist you.
It’s suppose to look the same in retina or not.

    Hi Chris,

I have made you a small child them which contains the changes you need.

Please unzip this and upload it and activate it, you may need to clear your cache also.

    Thanks,
    David.

Thank you very much, David! I’ll merge those files with our own child theme. I see in your files that it’s a very specific fix for the icons I selected in rev slider (which is totally fine). I suspect, if i change the navigation icons in rev slider at some point, i’ll have to update the child theme accordingly, correct? Or will you put a general fix into an update of the main theme?

    Thanks again, Chris.

    Hi Chris,

Sure, this is a specific fix for the rounded buttons, I wanted to keep it that way so as not to change anything else unintentionally.

I’ll mentioned this to our lead dev to see if we can get this amended for a future update.

    Thanks,
    David.
