Can I use the “supports” array to enable revisions for Portfolio items? If so, in which file is that array located?

    Hi,
    Please edit portfolio-type.php /dante/swift-framework/custom-post-types.
    Thanks

    Hey guys,

My forum search found this thread so I’m resurrecting it a bit.

My question is in short… Can Portfolio items have revisions like pages do?
I use portfolio for a lot of landing pages and optimising would require access to older versions of it.

If the above post is an answer to that can you please elaborate on a bit more how exactly to do it?

Also a related question. If it can be enabled, would that be retroactive? So would I see previous versions of portfolio items or only new ones are affected?

Thanks a lot for the help!

    Hi

Open up dante/swift-framework/custom-post-types/portfolio-type.php and find this line on 65:

    'supports' => array('title', 'editor', 'thumbnail'),

    Change to:

'supports' => array('title', 'editor', 'thumbnail', 'revisions'),

    Hey Kyle,

    Thanks for the reply.
I did exactly as you said (http://prntscr.com/6x94xv) and nothing changed in WordPress.
I have even created a new portfolio item and changed it around a couple of times and no change.
It is supposed to appear in the “Publish” section? http://prntscr.com/6x95d0

Am I looking at the wrong place or what is wrong here?

Hmm not sure why this isn’t working, maybe I’m missing something, will check with the developer

That is all that’s needed. Not sure why it hasn’t worked in your case, maybe try saving the portfolio item again? I’ve added this to the theme to go out in the update today.

    Hey guys,

Could it be that I need to upgrade WordPress from 4.13?
Also not sure what version on Dante I am now but it tells me there is a new version available: http://prntscr.com/6xjmk5

    would these make any difference?

ps. I have updated the portfolio item many times yes and it doesn’t make a difference.

Ed’s added it into the update so should be working when you update
