    Hi!

My [rev_slider blogg] doesn’t show up on my blog feed page anymore. If I put one of my other working rev sliders there, they don’t show either.

[rev_slider blogg] shows on individual blog post, though. This one for example.

Everything including WP, theme and rev slider plugin is updated to the very latest versions.

I use two ways to put the non-showing slider there: by code AND in the settings below on the page. Please see 2 attached images of this.

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

You need to uncheck the “Show Swift Slider” If you check that means, it will only display the swift slider, if you uncheck means the revolution slider you gave in ” Revolution slider alias ” will display.

Also, there is a strange If I hit preview the slider shows, http://monroedesign.se/wp-admin/post.php?post=11923&action=edit&lang=sv&message=1 but if I save changes and see the actual page it didn’t show any. You have any Cache activated, if so try purge it and check.

    Let us know,

    Thanks,
    laranz.

    Hi Laranz!

I have tried unchecking and checking the Show Swift Slider box a whole bunch of times. It’s unchecked now, like you said.

I also emptied cache under settings > WP Super Cache. Still no [rev_slider blogg] showing.

How do you manage to see a preview of the blog feed page? Whenever I hit preview on that page, I get a preview of my INDEX page (landing page) instead. I never understood why that happens either?

    Hi

It’s working now, you had your blog page set as the Posts page in Settings > Reading, which causes the page to display the archive layout

Oh! Awesome! I thought the blog feed page was supposed to be set up as the posts page. I don’t really get what a posts page is then…:)

Thanx for telling me what the issue was, Kyle. I have been trying everything and I just couldn’t figure it out.

    Great! Thanx so much!

The posts page is part of basic wordpress, so basic themes need a post page assigned to import the posts onto a blog page. However more advanced themes use page builders to create a blog page.

    Hope this helps

Ah! Thanx for explaining that, Kyle! It just didn’t make sense to me even when I googled it.
