Hi,
it is not possible to change the size of the single product image on the product page. I changed the WooCommerce settings and regenerated the thumbnails without any affect on the displayed image size.
The original image is 526px x 1000px. The WooCommerce settings are 300px x 600px. The displayed element on the product page is 702px x 1335px.
At this point I am not sure that I understand the concept of how to set the image size. Even when I scale the original image down it will be displayed with 702px x 1335px.
Thanks

Those settings are only for the quality of the image, to reduce the actual size of the image go to Theme Options > Product Options and override the image area width

July 30, 2015 at 1:30 pm #199341Hi Pinponketo,
In your theme options:
1) WooCommerce => Product Options => Override Product Image Width
2) “Product Image Width” move the slider to the left to reduce the width.
Thanks.
July 30, 2015 at 3:23 pm #199389Hi,
I changed the image width in the theme. But if I decrease the image width area I also increase the text area to the right. Which is not what I wanted. I am now trying to cut the image differently with more white space in the background.
Is there also a way to move the product description further up?
July 30, 2015 at 3:25 pm #199390So you want a big gap in between the image and the text?
– Kyle
July 30, 2015 at 3:37 pm #199394Yes, there would be a gap between the product itself and the text. Though it shouldn’t be too big of a gap.
For some reason now the image is being scaled and I don’t know why. I cut the image itself different with more white background and the product should be smaller.
July 30, 2015 at 4:01 pm #199403I was just playing with the Theme Options > Product Options and moved the product slider from bottom to the left and now the image is being cropped.
Is there a way where I have the product page set up like in your Demo “Lab Wines”?
July 31, 2015 at 7:52 am #199571You mean like this? http://swiftideas.com/lab-demo/product/lab-organic-merlot/

July 31, 2015 at 8:19 am #199581Yes, like that. Just with my current color scheme and fonts.
Thanks
BeritJuly 31, 2015 at 8:26 am #199586That’s the default product layout? What is it your struggling to replicate?
– Kyle
July 31, 2015 at 9:01 am #199600I assume that the description field is always displayed at the bottom of the page. But where does the text to the right of the picture come from?
I also don’t understand why my image is being scaled to a much bigger size. It is also cropped now. I just fail to understand the interaction between product image format set up in WooCommerce, the real image format and the theme option product slider height and width. My image just never looks as expected when I change one of those settings.

July 31, 2015 at 9:04 am #199602The main content area is the description to the right of the image, unless you have page builder enabled, then it goes below, and the short description field becomes the area to the right of the image.
For the product image, the woocommerce image sizes are only for the quality of the image used, that image will be sized to the image area, if your images are small then you need to reduce the slider in the theme options to make the image smaller.

July 31, 2015 at 4:59 pm #199778The problem is that the image area is 700px height, my picture is 700px height but somehow it is scaled much larger in height and cropped at the bottom.

Thanks
