Hi!

I want my blog feed page AND my individual blog post pages to have a proper blog header image or slider.

1. On the blog feed page: http://monroedesign.se/grafisk-design-uppat-vaggarna-blogg/ I can’t even figure out how to get any kind of header image/slider to show. I would like the image/slider to be the same one as you can see in my attached image from a post.

2. My rev slider “blogg” shows up on this individual post page: http://monroedesign.se/2014/03/17/basta-presenten-hoj-och-sankbart-skrivbord-fran-ergo-desk/ but it has the white space from the theme’s automated H1 (which I don’t use because of style) above the rev slider. I want my H1:s to be underneath the blog header, as you can see in attached image.

The blog header could be a regular image instead of the current rev slider format but I want it to remain fullwidth so that no edges on right and left shows.

Please help!

Hi,
You have three options to add a slider at top of Page through Page Meta options and image banner through classic page editor mode by using image banner shortcode .

Thanks 🙂

Mohammad, I have no clue what you’re talking about. Could you be a little more specific, please? Preferably with real examples from my site, which I’m giving you access to in the next comment.

Should the blog header be a rev slider (like now) or should it be an image? I would like an easy way to do this since I’ll have to add the blog header manually EVERY time I’ll post something.

I want it to be FULLWIDTH.

And I DO NOT WANT the extra white space in the top. Please see those images I gave you.

Maybe Kyle would be better to answer this question?

Thanx

Hi,
1- Please go to Admin -> Posts -> Add/Edit a post .

2- Select visual text editor mode .

3- You will have one icon for Swift Framework Shortcodes .

4- Click at here .

5- Now you will have one shortcode named Image Banner .

6- Please use this to display a banner image at top of page . There are many example of banner style here http://dante.swiftideas.net/image-banners/ .

I made a demo image banner to this post http://monroedesign.se/klyschiga-reklambilder-i-webbdesign/ . The code generated by image banner shortcode
[sf_imagebanner image="http://media.monroedesign.se/2014/03/940x500_grafisk_design_uppat_vaggarna.jpg" animation="fade-from-bottom" contentpos="left" textalign="left" extraclass=""]TEXT HERE[/sf_imagebanner]

Hope you will understand .

Thanks 🙂

Mohammad, PLEASE let Kyle or somebody else who READS THE WHOLE QUESTION answer. PLEASE.

Again, I would like the blog header to be FULLWIDTH.
And I DO NOT WANT the extra white space in the top.

Your demo is exactly what I don’t want. And I do know how to make a blog post. Thank you.

I’m posting an image again of how I want it to look – only I want to get rid of the white space in top.

Add this custom css:

.single-post .inner-page-wrap {
margin-top: 0;
}

If it affects any post that you don’t want it to, let me know and I will make it more specific.

Great! That works on the individual blog post pages, like this one: http://monroedesign.se/klyschiga-reklambilder-i-webbdesign/

Now, is it possible to get the same fullwidth blog header to show on the blog feed page: http://monroedesign.se/grafisk-design-uppat-vaggarna-blogg/ ?

Again, it doesn’t need to be a rev slider cuz nothing is going to move in the image. I kinda would prefer it to be an image as the rev slider keep on blinking when it reloads. I chose a rev slider because I just don’t know how to put a regular flat image fullwidth like that there.

Hi

There doesn’t seem to be any image at the top of that page?

Hi

It’s because you had your blog page set as the post page in reading settings, therefore it was using an archive page. I’ve sorted this for you.

By the way, you don’t need to add a page for the posts page, just leave it blank.

Oh! GREAT! Thanx! So…If I want to change the blog header rev slider

1. Where do I do it?

2. Could I change it to an image instead of a rev slider?

Any ideas on the problem with the freezing pages when adding a “single image” in page builder? I have that issue on my other computer as well by the way.

Hi

You add the rev slider alias in the page slider options. For a single image just add only one slide.

I’ll look into the image issue now.

Ok, but if there isn’t any page assigned to the blog feed page now, where do I edit it? Could you link me there?
