remove comments page on coming soon page

I’ve disabled the Page Comments which is disabled on all my pages now. However on my “coming soon” page (using holding template) the page comments still appear at the bottom. How can I get rid of this? thanks

also, for some reason now when i log into my wordpress theme to modify the page i’m unable to do anything as it’s taking forever to load the swift builder page. i didn’t update the theme update because it says any customizations made will be lost. could that be the reason? please see screenshot. (initially i was working on a local server and just transferred all files to my hosting)

Not sure why the comments wont disable for that page, but you can remove them with some custom css:

.page-template-template-holding-php #comment-area {
  display: none;
}
