    Hi there,

    We moved all our old posts from our previous website but unfortunately not all the featured images stayed. I have gone through and added featured images to the posts but the related post thumbnail, still shows black. I have also gone through, deleted the file from the media library, tried re-uploading the image. However, the image url still remains the same as the original file, even though I just uploaded a new one. I am wondering if there is a way to clear the cache and have the theme regenerate the thumbnails that are broken. this is only the case for 30 of our 200 posts.

    Hi,

    To regenerate thumbnails, use a plugin like this one: http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

    Also, have you tried setting the Post Thumbnail option that the theme offers, instead of the Featured Image?
