    Hi,

    Can you try to disable all plugins except Woocommerce and Swiftframework and check again?
    Maybe there is some plugin conflict.

    Hi Van,

    I am not sure I 100% understand the issue, are you looking to change the way related products shows the products? Or is there an error with the default related products, these show products within the same category.

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi David,
    Thank you for your reply.Actually for the related category as you can see in this link : beside the silk adjustable caps, it shows everything else from the men socks to women socks to shower cap, the hair accessories :
    https://vangobeauty.com/product/silk-bonnet-blue-teal-silk-cap/
    I just want to show adjustable caps that are relevant with the product that customer looks at .
    Thank you !
    Van

    Hi Van,

    This is not possible, it shows products that share the same categories. As you have many products in many various categories this is causing the issues you see. I’d look to reduce the product categories to 1 per product, two at the most. Tags are best suited for multiple, cross product relations.

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hi David ,
    if you click on this link and scroll to the bottom you can see the related products NOT ONLY related category , there are also showing EVERYTHING that I have in the store : men socks, hair clips etc.
    https://vangobeauty.com/product/handcrafted-adjustable-double-layers-silk-bonnet-mandarin-orange/
    I would also know how to reduce the number of the related products to 4 products .
    Thank you SO MUCH Swift team ..
    Have a wonderful weekend ,
    you all are AWESOME and I mean IT !

    Hi Van,

    If they share one category in common they will get display, however I do see one post which should not be there – the men’s socks.

    Can you run the update: https://vangobeauty.com/wp-admin/themes.php

    Hi Van,

    I have just read up further on the WooCommerce docs regarding this, product tags are also taken into consideration for related products, not just categories.

    The men’s products which are showing with the shower caps are there because they share the “Orange” tag.

    The solution:

    1)

    Please install and activate the supplied child theme, inside the child theme functions.php file paste this:

    		/**
    		 * Does not filter related products by tag
    		 */
    		add_filter( 'woocommerce_product_related_posts_relate_by_tag', '__return_false');

    2) Clear the Woo Transients: WooCommerce => System Status => Tools => WC Transients

    3) Clear your browser cache.

    Note: Sometimes you may often to also re-save the product.

    Thanks,
    David.

    Hello once again David ๐Ÿ™‚
    I just did what you told me , it works . SO THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR working so hard to help me resolve the problem .
    THe funny thing is that it did not happen before until the last update .
    May I ask another question, since this is the first time I use the child theme . Do I have to update the child theme from now on since its’ active instead of the main theme . How does it works ?
    thank you once again for EVERYTHING ,
    Good and safe weekend ahead please ,:)
    Warmly,
    Van

    No, you just need to update the parent theme because the child theme will load the files of the parent theme plus the ones of the child theme.

    Hope it helps.
