    I have quite a few video’s in my posts and I use them as the thumbnail for my blog posts. These videos are just showing up as black squares in the recent posts sidebar.
    Is there a way around this? Either an alternative image or ideally the video thumbnail.

    Yes you can set a featured image for your post 🙂 This will be used for the widget, but your videos will still be used for the thumbnail for the blog 🙂

    Please attach feature image to each post to remove black thumbnail.
