    Is there any documentation anywhere on how to use the “read more” option in the swift page builder? I can’t figure out how to use it.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

    Can you explain further?
    Are you talking about the read more link of the Blog asset?

    I would like to have “read more” with more information on my page, and saw this option (see screenshot) and when I select it, I see what is in the other screen shot. However, nothing shows on my page. If I select text before choosing this option, still nothing shows.

    I have not seen this anywhere in your documentation, nor can I find any directions while searching your forum.

    Hi,
    Please open to edit page.php file.

    Find this code:-
    <?php the_content(); ?>

    Change with:-
    <?php the_content( $more_link_text , $strip_teaser ); ?>

    Thanks
    Mohammad

    Now I’m more confused. Are you saying that I can’t use the option through the “Swift Page Builder”, even though it is there?

    And if I edit page.php, do I have to do this for every page I create? What happens when the theme is updated? This seems to defeat the purpose of having a “Swift Page Builder.”

    Hi,

    The screenshot you sent in that toolbar we only have the Swift Shorctode Generator button, the other buttons aren’t ours(read more, rev slider, etc).

    We don’t have any asset like that.
    The only thing we have is in the Blog asset where you have an option to display an read more link.

    Really? Oh! I thought all those buttons were yours. Very strange. That button doesn’t work – I wonder where it came from.

    Well, that answers that. Thanks so much and sorry to bother you. 🙂
