    Dear support,

    I’m trying to show the “read more” button on all blog-archives pages. The blog style is “Mini” and all the blog pages must have the same layout.

    On my blog-page ( http://www.viprotech.zaeck.nl/wp/nieuws/ ) the read-more buttons shows oke. But on the archives/category pages there is no read-more button ( http://www.viprotech.zaeck.nl/wp/2015/05/ ).

    Please help me fix this.

    It is done. You can check it.

    I see you don’t have child theme installed. Currently, i have modified the code in your parent theme to achieve that but it will get erased after theme update. A child theme is mandatory so that custom modifications are not lost.

    I have replaced this code

    <?php echo sf_get_post_item($post->ID, $blog_type); ?>

    to

    <?php echo sf_get_post_item($post->ID, $blog_type,"yes","yes","yes","20","excerpt","yes"); ?>

    on line no 141 & 185 in archives.php

    Hope that helps.

    Hi there,

    If you edit that file, then copy it to your child theme, it will remain when you make theme updates.

    Thanks for the great en fast support.

    I’m gonna make a child theme for this.

    One more question:
    If I put al my custom CSS in the stylesheet in the child-theme, I don’t need it any more in the theme options, right? Is it beter in the child-stylesheet or in the ‘theme options > custom css’?

    Hi

    Yes you can move all of your custom css to the child theme, it’s not better, just an alternative
