    I’m new to WordPress and was using the Cardinal theme just fine, until I messed up and deleted the theme. Upon adding it back to wordpress, I tried to activate it but received “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I had this same issue, but after I activated the Cardinal parent, then activated plugins, then tried to deactivate the parent and activate the child.

    I turned off all Cardinal-related plugins, deactivated the parent, activated the child, then re-activated the plugins and didn’t receive the error. All seems to be working well now.
