    Hi,

We try our best to help you, but this is a third party plugin and also it costs.

Can you give me the link to your site, so I can check things, and if I find I will let you know or else you need to hire a developer to fix.

    Thanks,
    laranz.

    Hi,

When I saw this documentation, it says that http://docs.woothemes.com/document/woocommerce-quick-view/

WooCommerce > Settings > General will show a β€˜Quick View’ section where you can change the following settings:

But I didn’t find any thing like that, instead there is a Woocommerce -> Quick View, but didn’t find that.

Actually where to enable Quick View?? Did I miss something, because in Woocommerece -> Quick view, there are things to show when the Quick View is showing.

    Thanks,
    laranz.

    Hi Laranz,

quick view should publish a button on each Productpreview thumbnail. By click on the button a new lightbox open up with the Productpage inside.

Now i found a new plugin. It is actually running but the problem is still the same. Nothing happens on the Neighborhood Frontend….

Here the link of the new installed plugin:
    http://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerce-products-quick-view
and here a post from an other Neighborhood user:

    Hi Lukischlucki,
I’ve tried a handful of these Quickview plugins without much luck. I agree that it’s a really important feature in an e-commerce site.

I’m getting close with the WooCommerce one, which is $29.

    http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-quick-view/

I contacted WooCommerce and they have a 30-day money back guarantee, so if it doesn’t work you can get your money back.

So far, with Laranz’ help, I have the icon showing in the correct position now. The problem I’m still having is that you have to click exactly in the lower right corner of the button or it won’t work. I assume it’s a simple matter of some css so I have a request in for help. I will let you know as soon as I find out if this really and truly works! I’ll also share the code. πŸ™‚ Cross your fingers.

    Hello Creatorofstuff,
thank you for your reply. The WooCommerce Quickview Plugin, which is $29: http://www.woothemes.com/products/woocommerce-quick-view/ was my first choice. But without any luck. If you like you can activate it on our site.

    Yesterday i found a new one: http://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-products-quick-view/
I have both installed but none of them does what it should.

Thank you for support! crossing fingers πŸ™‚

    Hi Lukischlucki,
I had already tried the second one you mention, and it did not work at all for me, either.

I have also tried this one: http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-quickview/4378284 but it also doesn’t work with Neighborhood.

So far, I think the WooThemes one has the most hope. I’ll keep you posted! πŸ™‚ Maybe this will help other people out there who have Neighborhood and want a quick view feature. (I really think it would be a great addition to the theme. Hopefully, Swiftideas will do that at some point.)

    Hi again, Lukischlucki,

Sadly, the suggestion given to make this plugin work did not work. I’m not sure what to do at this point. If you decide to give it a try anyway, the css that makes it appear in the correct place (above the “add to shopping bag” popup instead of on top of it) is

    .quick-view-button.button{
    top: -36px;
    }

The part I’m stuck on is the fact that it only works if you click in the exact lower right corner of the quick view button, and I mean exact. Otherwise, nothing happens. I feel like it is so close to working, but I’m not sure what to try next, as my coding skills are not that strong. Do let me know if you try it and figure it out! I would be so grateful.

    Hi Creatorofstuff,

the problem is that I can’t find any div with the class .quick-view-botton in the sourcecode of the HTML file. So the CSS snippet is useless for me πŸ™

It seems that the theme do not rendering the button div.

    Hi Lukischlucki,
I’m referring to the $29 plugin sold by WooCommerce. Is that the one you are talking about? If you purchase that plugin, install it, and then put the css code in your child css file, it moves the Quick View button to just above the popup. That’s what I’m talking about. Here is a screenshot.

hmm… there are a lot of Quickview plugins running around.

    I used this one:
    http://codecanyon.net/item/woocommerce-quickview/4378284?ref=jamesckemp&ref=jamesckemp&clickthrough_id=162154206&redirect_back=true

I give you feedback about the other plugin soon. I have to wait for internal communication…
    pls stay tuned πŸ™‚

Yes, I also tried that one but it did not work at all, like you say. I have tried several different ones, but this WooCommerce one (the $29 one) seems to hold the most hope.

    Hi,

can you by any chance contact the plugin developers about this problem?
There is a massive amount of plugins out there on the market. Each and every one is created by a different developer who uses their own techniques and code.
Because of this, we cannot guarantee that everyone of them will work with our theme. When an issue arises, we will certainly try to do what we can to fix it though. The best thing to do first is to report the issue to the plugin developer because they know their own code better than we do. Let us know what the plugin developer reports back and we will see what can be done!

    Thanks and all the best!

This is so frustrating. Nobody wants to help. You guys won’t help and WooCommerce won’t help. This is what they said:

Thank you for contacting WooThemes support. I’m happy to help you with this.

Unfortunately we can’t support compatibility with 3rd party themes or customizations of this nature.

I do see the issue and would love to be able to further assist but unfortunately it’s beyond our support policy.

I can recommend any of our theme’s here at Woo where this isn’t an issue:

    http://www.woothemes.com/product-category/themes/woocommerce/

Melanie, do you suggest I change themes then, or what? I really need/want a quick view feature for my shop. This is so disappointing. I’ve tried 3 plugins, and nothing works with Neighborhood.
