Query with update installation

Hi Forum,

I would like to install v.1.3 of Neighbourhood however I just want to check something prior to doing so.

In WordPress – Appearance>Themes>Manage Themes Tab there is the option to update now after the sentence “There is a new version of Neighbourhood available”.

When I click on ‘Update Now’ a warning box appears that says “Updating this theme will lose any customizations you have made. Cancel to stop, OK to update”

Please could someone advise whether this means that I will have to input and build my website from scratch should I choose to do the update? If it doesn’t mean this what customizations is the warning message referring to?

Hi Nick,

No all the page contents and your settings are there. The customization means the edits you made directly to the theme php files.

But before update the theme, it is recommended that, take a backup of theme options page. By Go to Theme Options -> Import/Export. After update if you lost your old settings you can export theme from the old setting.

If you made any code customization, it is recommend that you need to redo after the update.
