I am attempting to create an online store. Some of the items have specific variations. For instance, a small shirt is only available in green or blue. While the medium is available in black or orange. I have gone through the documentation. Followed both the video and written information on this page “http://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-variations/” Yet every time I try and set it up, I simply get 2 drop downs. One for size, One for color, with all options listed. Even though I have defined specific variations for this. I have also attempted to add images to these variations and those don’t show up. Any ideas?

As well, when viewing the product images in the store section, all ‘featured images’ are blurry and pixelated. Yet the same images once viewing the product are clean and crisp.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi

    1) You’re best asking WooCommerce about this as they have a better idea than us about what can be done with variations.

    2) You need to increase the size of your images in the woocommerce settings and then regenerate your thumbnails, see here: http://support.swiftideas.net/knowledgebase/product-image-quality/

Hey Kyle, I asked on Woo but they say it could be an issue on the theme side. So I really don’t know what to do about that. I am wondering if I should just clear everything off and start from scratch. Is there any easy way for me to remove all the dummy data and settings. Essentially just revert back to the beginning and try with a fresh start? Or is this a big task?

    Hi

You would need to empty the database tables to start fully from scratch.

Setting up product variations is not a theme issue? If you could activate TwentyFourteen and see if the variation dropdowns have the same behaviour, if they do this is clearly not a theme issue

Yeah I figured as much, from my understanding the whole “store” section is controlled by WOO and their plugin. I think they are just looking to point the blame. I will try swapping the theme like you suggested and see what happens.

    Thanks for the input!
