I am unable to show variations on the frontend. The variations will not show for variable products.
I changed to the Twenty Fourteen theme and there it worked fine.I however prefer the Cardinal theme.
I’m trying to create a site for a manufacturer with products an WooCommerce showing products without prices and also need to get rid of the free and New badges. New is easy but how do I get rid of the Free-badge?
Also – there are no prices but the customer wants to be able to let retailers login and make their orders through the site. They don’t need any prices when doing so, the orders will be processed through their order system and the retailers will receive a confirmation by e-mail from there. I will solve this with a WooCommerce add-on called WooCommerce Catalog Visibility Options.
I also run WPML – the site is supposed to be in English, Swedish and Japanese.
I need your help with the variable products problem and getting rid of the Free badges, please.
December 16, 2014 at 10:17 pm #136082Hi,
1. I am trying to login and gives error like this “FEL: Lösenordet du angav för användarnamnet Hans är felaktigt. Glömt ditt lösenord??” Can you double check the username is right? I am trying to create a variation to check why it gives error. Hope you add the product like this instruction http://docs.woothemes.com/document/product-variations/
2. Follow this method to hide those badges http://www.jeriffcheng.com/remove-product-sales-flash-icon-badge-woocommerce.html the CSS way. or this http://www.skyverge.com/blog/hide-woocommerce-free-price-label/
3. Yes you can also use the Catalog mode in Cardinal, to enable go to Theme Options -> Woocommerce Options -> Catalog Mode = ON.
Let us know,
Thanks,

Passw: Trala13%%Sorry for the inconvenience.
I have tried to get rid of the badges by adding code to the themes field for custom CSS and custom JS without success.
I have also activated Catalog mode in the themes setting.
Nothing seems to work for me.

1. Try this in the Custom CSS to get ride of free badges.
.woocommerce .free-badge { display: none; }
2. Sorry, I was away in this weekend, so this little delay. For product variation there is a script error in functions.js I ask our developer to take a look at this issue. ( http://wp.klippanyllefabrik.se/wp-admin/post.php?post=6961&action=edit&lang=sv )
Let us know,
Thanks,
laranz.December 22, 2014 at 10:09 am #137141Free-badge is gone. Thank you.
As you saw there is still no choices available on the front end when adding a new variable product.
I look forward to your reply on that subject then 🙂Hans

Unfortunately I don’t have any prices and the client don’t want to show prices for the products. The Idea was to use the products as a catalogue and for retailers to be able to log in and create an order without prices.
There are to many price lists and the client want to import orders to their order system and there generate an order conformation for the retailers.
Is there any way to create variable products without showing prices?

January 8, 2015 at 3:46 pm #140076I guess you can set the price of all variations to be zero. That could be a solution.
But if you are in catalog mode for the visitors you can’t accept orders from retailers.Maybe it’s better to have a subdomain with another WordPress install that only the retailers could access, You could export all the products from one site and import on the other.

January 8, 2015 at 4:07 pm #140092I have an ad-on called WooCommerce Catalog Visibility Options. With that I can hide prices and badges and still have variable products. And only make the buy-option available for logged in customer-users.
I had it deactivated while I had problem, but now it works.
Thanks for your assistance.
