Product Shortcode – Want to display only Parent Categories

Hi There, I am having issues with the product shortcode. When I select to display the Parent category, it displays all of its children including the parent. Is there a way to just show the Parent Category from the product short code? if not what is the solution? is there a php file I can edit? Thanks!

If you contact WooCommerce support they should be able to give you a function to display only the parent category

Solution

[product_categories number=”2″ parent=”0″]

number –> sets how many you want to see,
parent –> level of depth for categories

Just throw it in and looks just like the product shortcode in the swift editor.
