    The Product Short Description editor adds <p></p> tags to shortcodes, creating white space.

    E.g. adding a button like:

    [button colour="accent" type="squarearrow" size="medium" link="#" target="_blank"]button text[/button]

    results in:

    <p>[button colour="accent" type="squarearrow" size="medium" link="#" target="_blank"]button text[/button]</p>

    Same result in visual or text mode.

    Try wrapping it in a div, this should prevent the p tags
