On numerous products we are having an issue with how the product image is displaying. A good example is this page…http://dev.karebou.com/shop/beads-glass-handmade/handmade-glass-14

If you choose the chocolate bead from the drop-down menu the image shows up oversized however if you choose the chocolate bead from the product thumbnails it displays properly. It’s the same image and I can’t understand why it’s showing differently. Any ideas how we can fix this?

    Hi,

Try to regenerate all thumbnails using this plugin.

    Regenerate Thumbnails

    Hi Rui,

I installed and ran the Regenerate Thumbnails plug-in however it didn’t solve the issue. What else can we try?

    Cheers,
    Karen

    Hi

The main image, which is the first image, also the variation images, use whatever you set in the WooCommerce Image Settings.

However the gallery images (when you click the thumbnails) use the normal image size. So you’ll need to change your image size settings and regen thumbnails

Seeing as your images are square, you should use 560px x 560px

    Hi,

Our images are not square. Sometimes they are vertical, sometimes horizontal but rarely square. What’s the best way to handle image orientations that vary? Also, if we reduce the image width to 560 won’t that render the zoom inoperable?

    Hi,

You would have to choose only one format that works for both types. Probably you will have to crop some of them.

Although the settings are set to 560, that just means it will create an image with those dimensions to use in the shop page but the original upload with a higher dimensions will also be there.
