Product categories shown as empty

Hi,

I have a problem with my product categories. While there are products in alsmost all of my categories and they are displayed if I go to the category page, the WooCommerce Product-category Widget shows all categories as empty and the Subcategories are no longer displayed on the category pages even though the option “show both” (so subcategories and products) is selected in the WooCommerce settings. In the WooCommerce backend under Product-categories I can see that the products are linked propperly to their categories.

p.s.: The widget and display of subcategries worked fine until a couple of days ago. I since made changes in my WP AllImport plug-in and WPML plug-in. I could not find a link between my changes and this problem, but then again I am not a programmer, so I thought maybe this info can help you figure out my mistake.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

yes, I have tried that, but the problem persists. 🙁

No, thanks. I know how to do that. This is not the live-version of our site, so the zeros don’t bother me. What I am interested in is hiding empty categories and showing category thumbnails together with the product thumbnails on the shop and category pages. As long as these fnctions don’t work I am not going to take this version online.

Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display and set to show both categories and products

In the widget if you tick the ‘hide empty categories’ box do all of the categories hide?

Hi Kyle,

a) yes, I know. I have set it to show both, but seen as somewhere in the system these categories are considered empty they don’t show, only th eproducts are listed

b) yes, if I hide empty categories all the categories disappear.

Yes, just switched back to the default theme and the problem persist. So this has nothing to do with Atelier. Sorry, to bother you and thanks for your efforts.
