Problems with image sharing

Hi. First, congrats for such great theme, really a pleasure to work with. Point is, i’m running issues while sharing images with social networks, both on portfolios and on blog posts. Even your current sample is not sharing anything on Pinterest (my client’s first requeriment): See here:

I’ve tried enabling/disabling NextGEN Facebook Open Graph+ (quite complex management plugin, btw), but no luck. Any tips?

Also, on blogs Facebook is not sharing images, do i need to have featured images for each post, even when i’ve setup the thumb on theme metas? Do i need to run NGFB Open Graph just to share post with images?

How’s it going? Nice to see you in our forums! 🙂

I will forward this to the developer directly, because if it’s something that’s happening in our demo it’s important to issue an official update for that. He will get back to you as soon as he can. In the meantime you could check our forum search, I recall some threads about facebook in particular, maybe it helps in the meantime!

PS: I’d recommend not bumping your threads because we work from oldest reply (!) to latest reply, so keeping your thread busy before we get to take a look at it you’ll in fact receive a response later because you will get pushed back to the end of our list 🙁

Also, just if it helps, problem with image sharing is mainly with Pinterest. “media” variable is empty.

Adding a featured image on portfolio item changes nothing, i checked the code and portfolio item template is not getting the image featured data.

Think I’ve just sorted out a fix for the pinterest image, thanks for letting me know about that!

The others are all taken from the featured image.
