Problems with FontDeck

Hi there,

I’ ve bought a fontdeck font but now my site is doing something very weird

Please check it yourself.

This is a random page of my site

It seems that it loads the page with the original font and then, few milliseconds-seconds later, it reload the page with the fontdeck…

Obviously the site cannot be like this

I really need to fix it asap, as UX is terrible

Please tell me how to save properly the new font (dix) into the theme so it loads properly

I ve a few things to add

So I found out that this issue is called Flash of Unstyled Text (FOUT) and with this code it is avoided

.wf-loading body {
visibility: hidden;
}

But actually the page is loading much slower

How do you do on your neighborhood demo site to load a page that fast loading a font deck font? is it related with caching?

Hi,

That will only work if we use webfontloader for typekit/fontface, but only Google fonts are load that way in the neighborhood. I will keep the Developer to know about the issue.. (He will only be come back after 12, see the sidebar notice) meanwhile you can customize those by yourself with this tutorials, http://blog.fontdeck.com/post/1471135028/using-fontdeck-with-the-google-webfont-loader and http://24ways.org/2010/using-the-webfont-loader-to-make-browsers-behave-the-same/ and https://github.com/typekit/webfontloader/wiki . You can place those JavaScript snippets in header.php
