    Hello!
I really like the look of this theme but
I’m having a lot of trouble adding the revolution slider (full width) directly to the ‘home’page.
(Exactly like in the advertised theme -http://themeforest.net/item/neighborhood-responsive-multipurpose-shop-theme/full_screen_preview/5086341)
Basically I want to pretty much recreate this exact layout.

I’m having trouble adding the full lenth slider (i can only put it in sidebar widgets apparently) as ‘home’ is listed as ‘custom’ and not ‘page’ so i cant paste the shortcode in it.

    here is my site: http://neonordics.com

    thank you kindly
    Adelina

    Hi,
Please go to Admin -> Edit Home Page -> Take a Full Width Text Block element of Swift Page Builder and insert revolution slider shortcode to display as full width like demo.Hopefully that should help to you.
    Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank for your reply , Mohammad!
That;s the issue, I can’t find the edit homepage button anywhere, I looked everywhere and my firend looked as well as she couldn’t find any ‘edit homepage’ section.
Maybe its something really simple I’m missing somehow, for the front page display I chose a static page but when i clicked the dropdown menu i cant even select ‘home’.
So If you could help me find this ‘edit homepage’ part I’d be so very grateful.

    Thank you kindly
    Adelina

Ok Mohammad I think I get it now
Basically if i want a static home page with lets say a slider, i have to ‘add new page’ call it home and assign it as the opening page, right?
I cna’t do this in the default ‘home’ page as it only displays posts in chronological order
(and I dont even want to set up a blog, i just want a portfolio and online shop for now)
Is this correct? should I delete the existing home and create a new page called ‘home’ and assign it the features i need?
    Thanks!

    Hi,

Go to Administration > Settings > Reading panel.
Set Front page displays to a static page
1- Please create a new page named Home.
2- In the drop down menu for Front Page select “Home.”
3- In the drop down menu for Posts page select “Blog” or the name you created, or leave it blank if you will not feature posts on the site.
    4-Save changes.

Now you can edit that Home page easily.

    Thanks
