    Hi,
I’ve tried to add three videos in ogg, WebM and MP4.
    I’m using miro video converter.

But each time that I add a mp4, the parallax section looks terrible in chrome, firefox etc. But they do work in safari and IE11. It looks just fine in chrome and firefox when I just use the ogg and WebM…but then there is no video visible in safari and IE11.

So now I’m stuck with only using ogg and WebM ๐Ÿ™

I’d like to be able to use the mp4 as well so people with safari and IE11 can see the parallax video.

Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Can you create a test page with that mp4 video Parallax so we can take a look?

    Hi @tynus,

This is likely an issue with your video files and/or server setup (there needs to be specific htaccess rules for videos to be streamed via the server.

Can you please check the appropriate format in the browser directly? If it doesn’t play in the browser then you can narrow it down.

    See this guide: http://ottopress.com/2011/howto-html5-video-that-works-almost-everywhere/

@tynus – good news that it appears to have sorted itself. Does the .webm / .ogv video play in Firefox?

    Hi Ed,
I discovered that it did had to do with a badly exported video mp4 file by miro. Probably I’ve just used a too low quality as a source ๐Ÿ™

Concerning the firefox browser problem, which I still experience on my mac, that seems to be a faulty firefox browser error ๐Ÿ™

…I’ve checked the test page in firefox,chrome,IE11 and Safari on another computer…and the videos show perfectly.

So in short; bad browser+badly converted video file= the cause…and NOT the theme ๐Ÿ™‚

Sorry to have bordered you all with this.

    Thanks
