Swift IdeasApril 30, 2015 at 5:05 pm #170612Hi There!
http://192.185.91.211/~fuzionflooring/
I’m trying to build the advanced search option in my fuzionflooring website, but don’t understand how to create categories and link those categories with the different filters in Super Search Otions. For example:
I have 5 different kinds of Products: Hardwood, Vinyl, Laminate, Cork and Carpet. What I did is I create in Woocommerce products those 5 categories and Choose Field Filter 1 to assign them.
Then I need to create 7 different kinds of Species but if I create those 7 categories the same way I did with Products, everything (Products and Species) show in the same Search for products tab.
I need for Super Search Purposes
5 different products
7 different species
8 different thickness
3 different widthHow do I do this?
Thanks,
edgarMay 1, 2015 at 11:51 am #170812Hi,
To do that you need to add some attributes to the products like (color, size, brand, etc)
that’s just an example.

May 1, 2015 at 1:03 pm #170839Hi Rui, I need more specifics please.
Say I add one attribute like Oak, this attribute is related with Species, which is set in filters Super Search Otions. I still don’t understand where do I link both things, I’m attaching 2 images, just se be sure I’m doing the right thing. If you see the filters super search image it show Product Category, Price and Oak, I don’t know where I got this tree things. Thanks,

You must be logged in to view attached files.May 1, 2015 at 1:28 pm #170844in that case Oak should not be an attribute. The attribute should be “Species” and Oak is just one of the possible values.
Check the attached screenshot.

May 1, 2015 at 4:12 pm #170938Okey done! Now, where do I assign that specific attribute to each product?
Rui, would be good if you give me all the steps and things I need to do to make this thing work, it is the first time I use Woocommerce, so at this point I’m just guessing everything.
Thanks for your help.
edgarMay 1, 2015 at 4:18 pm #170943I know that this started with our super search asset, but although our theme is Woocommerce ready, we can’t be responsible for supporting the Woocommerce plugin itself(or how to use it).
I try to help has much as I can but can’t go out of our support scope that is only related to the theme.
Take a look at those 2 links first, then let us know if you still have doubts.

May 1, 2015 at 5:06 pm #170965I Understand Rui, but is there any relation between the super search and the woocommerce? Do they work together? If not, then still don’t understand how to make it work. If yes, then I followed the instruction from the video you sent me, but still doesn’t work.
Thanks,
edgarMay 2, 2015 at 6:02 pm #171173Of course there is a relation between Woocommerce and our Super search.
Provide me admin access so I can check what’s going on.Use the private reply.
