Purchased Dante v3.03
Previewing the theme renders a blank page but I decided to activate it anyways since I was following the instructions listed here http://dante.swiftideas.net/documentation/#introduction
Activation kicks me off the dashboard and sends me to the homepage (I believe this is what happens normally when activating a new theme). This is fine, but now I can’t access wp-admin in order to login to further tinker with the settings and follow further instuctions. It doesn’t even act like it’s loading, it just shows a blank page. Since there is no way to log into the backend of the site anymore, I had to manually delete the theme via FTP and let the site fallback to the default built in theme.
I’ve tried disabling all plugins before install as some users have mentioned but this did nothing. No matter how I try to active the theme, whether I upload the theme manually or install via the wordpress installer, I end up with a broken, unconfigured, homepage where I can’t log into. The first 2 steps are so ridiculously simple I can’t even fathom what the issue is.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you for your time in advance.

MohammadAugust 17, 2015 at 12:08 pm #204545Hi,
It seems that your server is running out of memory. You need to adjust/add you WordPress memory settings inside the wp-config.php file
Change your WordPress memory to 128M or a maximum 256M.
Also check the official documentation from WordPress in the link below.

I’ve tired this and still no go. It’s like nothing has changed.
August 20, 2015 at 2:50 pm #205856Hi,
it went all white when I tried also. I tried to login with the FTP to fix it but the credentials didn’t worked.
Can you check the ftp credentials again?
Thanks

We are not able to make any changes in files through FTP software. Please open to edit wp-config.php at wordpress root installation directory.
insert this code and update file:define( 'WP_DEBUG', false);
Let us know to check the error.
Thanks 🙂
With Best Regards

September 15, 2015 at 6:18 pm #213303Hi.
I think you’ve misunderstood. I’m having issues with activating Dante. Right now I’m using an older theme that has nothing to do with Dante. I can activate Dante and the site will load, albiet broken since its not set up yet, but I can’t log in to projectwritten.com/wp-admin because it just shows a white page. This means I can’t set it up hence the bind I am in.
September 15, 2015 at 6:21 pm #213306ok now I understand. In this case you should first make the change that Mohammad suggested so we can see any error when you activate the Dante theme and the page goes white.
