    I am hosting with MediaTemple and I’m getting 500 errors occasionally (few times per day). This is what the error log is showing when it happens:

    index.php
    [Wed Oct 09 11:39:31 2013] [warn] [client 108.67.185.168] mod_fcgid: read data timeout in 40 seconds
    [Wed Oct 09 11:39:31 2013] [error] [client 108.67.185.168] Premature end of script headers: index.php

    Has anybody else noticed this error? If so, what have you done about it?

    I’d recommend contacting your hosting company asking them to adjust the

    ProcessLifeTime
    IPCCommTimeout
    IPCConnectTimeout

    values in your conf file!

    Hey Melanie, thanks again for the response. I moved site from MediaTemple to InMotion and the performance issues disappeared!
