    I want a simple recent posts list on the homepage without any images (or if there is an image, something small to the left but consistent (not back and forth like the one recent posts option).

    Right now, I am using the Recent Posts element in the Swift Page Builder and the option is on Post List. I want the post excerpts to show as right now, it just displays the title and date of the post on the homepage. Each post is using the Swift Page Builder and has a custom except set under the Page Meta tab.

    Are the excerpts supposed to show? It gives the option for an excerpt limit in the Recent Posts element (which has a value in it) but nothing displays.

    Can you help and how quick? Thanks!

    Everything should be updated to the most recent versions.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately that is not possible using the “Recent Posts” page builder asset.

    You would need to use the “Blog” asset and set it to standard and customise the layout using to match your client’s requirements.

    You can move the image to the left with some basic CSS:

    .standard-items .blog-item figure {
        float: left;
        max-width: 25%;
        overflow: hidden;
        margin-right: 5%;
    }

    – David.

    Hi there,

    I am having the same issue and I just wanted to double check there is no way to add in the post excerpt to show on the recent posts ‘post list’?

    I prefer the way the date is displayed using this method.

    Thanks,
    Jess

    Hi Jess,

    Using the Recent posts asset does show the post text excerpt: http://d.pr/i/R9Nt.

    – Is that what you are referring to?

    Thanks
