    Hi Guys,

I noticed a image decrease when you scroll through the product image slider on the product page.
The fist picture which is set a featured product image is nice and crispy clear but when you click on the next one you notice a decrease in image quality.

Are the images in the gallery slider loaded different than the featured image? I first thought it had something to do with the image optimalisation tool I use but that’s not the case, see post below.

Please see post below for an example.

The size of the images/resolution in the html code seems fine. Just notice the image loading differently from what is used to.

Do you have any plugin that interacts with images?

Try to disable all plugins except SwiftFramework and Woocommerce.

    Hi Rui,

I haven’t installed any plugin’s that interfear with images whatsoever.
Why do you think this is plugin related? And what do you mean with different loaded?

Well the feature image seems to have been loaded in a progressive mode where you start to see the image with low quality while it isn’t load completely.

The usual way is to display the image only when it’s 100% loaded.

Visually I didn’t notice that images have low quality, since the source like I showed in my screenshot seems fine.
Try to regenerate the images using this plugin

    Regenerate Thumbnails

Ah ok well I don’t have a plugin for that.
You don’t see the difference between the images? Also when you compare them to the originals i’ve attached to the post?

Well, Personally I can’t see any significant changes.

    Hi Rui,

The first image is not the issue indeed that looks ok.
It’s about the second image. Can you do a comparision as well and let me know what you think.

    Best,

    Hi Kyle,

You are correct. Not sure what was going on.
I changed the zoom functions from click for zoom to mouse over zoom and it seems to be better now.
