    Hi
I’ve supplied the details as requested. Did you manage to see why the rewrite is not working?

    Hi,

Please check now, it was set to false again… Note that this is a theme file edit, so it gets overwritten each time you update the theme.

    Hi
Of course it was false. I cannot leave 404 page errors on my site for weeks…
I have to switch it off as it doesn’t work. I have 404 errors again on all portfolio pages.

I need to switch this off as I am showing clients the portfolios.

the issue is not that it was switched off. It’s that it isn’t working when it is switched on. 🙂

Checked this numerous times on a personal install and can’t seem to replicate it.

Ed, is there something I’m missing here?

Once you change the rewrite settings, you will need to set your permalinks back to default, and then to the original option again. This is something WordPress needs in order to flush the rewrite rules.

Give that a go and let us know.
