    Hi!

I’m new to this great theme but not new to WP.

I’m trying to make my added portfolio items and categories show up in my filterable 3 column portfolio on INDEX. I have installed the demo content. At first demo portfolio showed up, but not anymore. What am I missing? I can’t find any info on this simple matter anywhere here. Please help.

    Cheers!

    Hi @lobsterass,

This is marked as resolved, did you sort it?

    Hi!

Yup, I’m working on a live domain so I want pages to be set to private/or password. I made the actual portfolio items private as well and that made them not show in the portfolio. I solved it by making the items public and only the page which holds the portfolio password protected.

Allthough….I’m not super happy with this, because this must mean my individual portfolio pages are live while I work on them.

    Thanx!

Why don’t you leave them as unpublished/visibility hidden? Then you can preview them through WordPress?

Just a thought, if your portfolio pages aren’t visible on the menu etc, then how would users get to them?

You could enable the maintenance mode in Theme Options > General Options?

Exactly. But I’m not done with making the site yet. I was just trying to solve an issue that I didn’t know there was such a simple solution to. Thanx for the info about maintenance mode. I simply didn’t know I could use it like that.

So now when I post questions in the support forum, I guess I have to post them privately – so that I can provide inlog info for you when needed?

    Cheers!

Yes if you set your website to maintenance mode you will have to provide log in details for us to look at issues for you as we will have to get passed the maintenance page.

    Thanks

    Kyle
