Portfolio Items — how to ope in lightbox?

How to open all my images from portfolio in Lightbox instead of having them be linked to item pages?

Hi there,

If you edit the portfolio item, you can set the thumbnail link to lightbox in the portfolio meta options. These can be found below the main content editor: https://www.dropbox.com/s/waggdtz3a1witkp/Screenshot%202013-11-18%2017.10.09.png

Ok, thanks — it’s going to work, but here comes the theme request…
Because now I have to go to hundreds of images and change it for every single one separately!
Why not create a function so we can set this up from the portfolio button/shortcode.

Isn’t there a way to change this in the theme php’s default behaviors ( link to item under each image) to link to lightbox ?

This sure is possible, but I’m afraid it’s not built into the theme and would have to be modified especially for you. We’d love to help you with this customization but we are only able to provide support for basic theme issues and bug fixes. by the way: Even if we change the default behavior to another default now, you would still have to edit the old items because the option will still be set to the old default unless for newly created items.
