Portfolio issue

Having trouble with the portfolio style. Its always “full width” even if I have chosen the “standard view”. http://vgs.maxresultat.no/?portfolio=samling-des-2013

Hi Kyle,

I tested this earlier, but it seems like that doesnt help.

Now I have added a gallery + some text in the “Item sidebar content”. It seems like the text is being added behind the gallery, and that the gallery comes above the sidebar http://screencast.com/t/1GuUQcXw1xvw. It works if I add the gallery 3/4 of size, but that doesnt make any sense. I have the same theme installed on another demo site and there it works perfectly. Is this after the update maybe, or am I missing something?

How did you update the theme? Looks broken to me, are you using a child theme?

Hi,

I updated through the admin panel. Not using any child theme.

What do you suggest I do? Reinstall the theme?

That seemed to do the trick 🙂

A totally different thing: Is there an element/way I can build galleries that are not shown as “sliders” ,but as columns? Like for example this gallery: http://themes.goodlayers2.com/flawless/gallery-4-columns/

Btw, this seems like a bug with version 2.51 for this theme.. In 2.5 it works, but if I click “update” for ver. 2.51 the portfolio issue is back..

So Im gonna stick with 2.5 until its fixed.

You can yes, but you need to use the image asset, not the gallery. And you have to add the images one by one.

I see! Maybe this should be a feature for the next update for the galleries, to be able to choose column based gallery instead of slide? 🙂

For the image based gallery, check the standard WordPress [gallery] shortcode (Add Gallery within the Add Media modal).
