Hello. I’m experiencing an issue while Calculating shipping on the Cart page. Whenever I enter a coupon (try captainmma) and apply it, then calculate the shipping, it doesn’t calculate shipping and instead gives me an error at the top of the page that says “Please enter a coupon code.” Even though one has already been applied.
I did update the Atelier version to the latest one, along with the Swift Framework, but the problem persisted, and I was getting all kinds of display issues that I don’t have time to fix right now. The website I’ve supplied is a staging website, but the same thing is happening on our live site. How can I resolve this issue?
Thank you,
Cori

October 31, 2016 at 10:34 pm #299709Hello, David.
As I mentioned in the first message I sent, I already tried updating the theme and the framework.
“I did update the Atelier version to the latest one, along with the Swift Framework, but the problem persisted, and I was getting all kinds of display issues that I don’t have time to fix right now.”
I reverted it to the previous version because the update caused all kinds of display issues, AND the issue I was having did not go away.
Also, I went through and disabled every plugin one by one and tested the cart each time to see if the issue was resolved, and it was not.
WooThemes support also tried troubleshooting the issue, and this is the information I received from them:
If you switch to the default WordPress theme and disable the “Swift Framework” plugin, this issue goes away. However, if you re-enable the theme the issue comes back, even with the Swift Framework plugin disabled.
So this conflict is being caused by a combination of the Swift Framework extension and your theme (both by the same authors it seems). You will need to get in contact with the theme developers about this, as only they can resolve this bug.
Can you please help me resolve this issue? This is a time sensitive matter.
Thank you,
Cori

You absolutely need to update you theme version + SF plugin first as you have already updated WooCommerce.
November 4, 2016 at 9:39 pm #300605David,
I have updated the Atelier Theme and the Swift Framework as you have requested. If you test the site you’ll see that the problem persists. In order to properly test it please visit the shop at https://tmctestrun3.wpengine.com/shop and add an item to your cart. Go to the Cart page. It’s very important that you enter a coupon first before calculating shipping. Use captainmma in the coupon field and hit apply coupon. Then enter your country, state, and zip and hit Update Totals. You’ll see that it does not calculate shipping, and on some browsers it even returns an error at the top of the page saying to Please Enter a Coupon Code, even though there is a valid coupon already applied. The coupon and shipping work fine on the checkout page, but this is a big problem on the Cart page.
Also, now that I’ve updated Atelier and the Swift Framework you’ll see that several of my page elements are broken now on the main page here: https://tmctestrun3.wpengine.com/ Images are missing and rows no longer appear edge to edge. How can I fix this?
Please help troubleshoot this issue so that my customers can easily use coupons this holiday season. This is an urgent matter.
Thank you.
November 7, 2016 at 6:05 pm #300857Hi,
Please update all WooCommerce related plugins: https://tmctestrun3.wpengine.com/wp-admin/update-core.php
You have various WooCommerce plugins which integrate with the cart.
If that does not resolve your issue, I’ll need you to disable all plugins leaving only Swift Framework and WooCommerce active whilst we help you further.

Can you activate the default WordPress theme Twenty Seventeen and repeat the test to see what happens?
Thanks.-Rui
March 22, 2017 at 7:33 pm #318161Hello, Rui!
Thank you for your reply. I activated the Twenty Seventeen theme and tested it again, and it did not give me the error. Swift support is working on another ticket for me simultaneously (Icon Boxes Not Displaying Properly on Safari), so I had to switch the theme back, but I’ve attached some screen shots.

March 24, 2017 at 5:05 pm #318433Thank you, Rui.
It appears that Swift support has been able to resolve the other ticket concerning the icon boxes, so feel free to change the theme and plugins on this site (http://tmcphp7test.wpengine.com) and do whatever you need to do to figure out how to resolve the problem with coupon code error when calculating the shipping. This is my testing site, so whatever you do here to fix the issue I will need to know how to replicate on my live site to fix the issue there, as well.
Thank you for all your help!
March 24, 2017 at 5:23 pm #318438ok. Thanks for the info.
Let’s wait for Ed reply.-Rui
March 27, 2017 at 9:02 pm #318698Hi @cori_tmc
Trying to replicate this locally so that we can find the cause and apply a fix, however can’t get the same error to show, it seems to work 100% with what I am testing. Is there any extra setup or configuration needed to get this error to replicate?

March 27, 2017 at 9:35 pm #318700Hi, Ed.
No, the steps just have to be done in the correct order. Your technician Rui was able to duplicate the problem.
1. Visit the shop at http://tmcphp7test.wpengine.com/shop and add an item to your cart.
2. Visit the Cart page.
3. It’s very important that you enter a coupon first before calculating shipping. Type captainmma in the coupon field and hit apply coupon. It should successfully apply the coupon.
4. Then enter your country, state, and zip and hit Update Totals. You’ll see that it does not calculate shipping, and on some browsers it even returns an error at the top of the page saying to Please Enter a Coupon Code, even though there is a valid coupon already applied. If you try this on the Checkout page you won’t get the error. The coupon and shipping work fine on the Checkout page, but this is a big problem on the Cart page. I’ve tested this on both Chrome and Safari and I’m having the same problem on both.
I hope we can find a fix soon. I appreciate your help very much!
March 27, 2017 at 9:48 pm #318701Hi @cori_tmc
I can replicate it on your site no problem, I was referring to being able to replicate it on my local setup.
Just wanted to clarify that as if I can set it up so that I can see the same issue happen locally, it will be much easier to test a fix.
