Photo quality

Hi there,
Just wonder why the photo not good at all on my web. When I look at on photoshop, looks really sharp and clear but not good at all on my web. I have already increase the size more than 400 – 500kb, save as web device as usual but still look the same. Please help. Screenshot as attached. Thank you.

Hi,

Uploading is handled by WordPress, so this may depend on your server.

Can you link to your site, please? Maybe you’re looking at an element that is larger than your image and, the theme being responsive, it forces the image to fill that element, thus losing quality. I’ll let you know once I see it.

The image on that page is 770px wide, and it’s being upscaled to 940. Can you upload a larger image?

Hi Ed,
I’ve never set the photo to 770px but you are right when I pulled it out from the page is 770px. I don’t know which one went wrong. The same problem with this one too http://www.myfashionjourney.com/whats-highheel-today as you can see from photo source, I resize to 1200px (as attached). On the WP image still looks good but when I look at to the page, the quality is change (less) and when you pull it out from page, again the size is 770px.

Do you think the problem from media setting? so far I have no problem at all for portrait. What is the best pixel for photo slider/landscape on your theme?

I’ve uploaded plugin that you’ve recommended and activated. Thank you so much Ed but still the same 🙂

Seems I can’t view your site, is it live? Those settings don’t have any effect on the the theme. Hopefully you can sort out a link for me so that I can check out your site.

That’s fine and hope you had a great holiday. Yes my web was down for few days but it’s back to normal now. The quality photo seems not good only on the big slideshows (please refer to my previous mssg)

Found a bug in the theme, fixed it for the next update. You can fix it now by editing single.php line 98 to:

if (!$full_width_display && ($sidebar_config == "left-sidebar") || ($sidebar_config == "right-sidebar") || ($sidebar_config == "both-sidebars")) {
